Bainbridge Island *Grand Old 4th Hometown Parade*

Hello, fellow Democrats you are invited to march in the *Grand Old 4th Hometown Parade* from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. South on Madison Avenue at Wyatt Way, then East on Winslow Way, Bainbridge.

Updated information: The staging number for our group is D06 and we will meet on Wallace Way at 12:30. They are placing everyone at the end of the parade due to the Kingston Parade and our political leaders and other candidates have enough time to make it there from Kingston. We did not sign up to have a vehicle in the parade as we are all walking.

A few things to plan for:

• Wear comfortable footwear - the parade length is over a mile long
• Wear appropriate clothing - rain or shine the parade will go on
• Bring sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, etc
• Bring reusable bottles to fill with Water - we will have water dispensers located at the library and throughout Winslow Way

PARADE STAGING INSTRUCTIONS:

1. For reasons of safety & liability, throwing of candy or merchandise by any parade participant, or use of squirt guns, water cannons, water balloons, or soakers, etc. IS NOT ALLOWED FROM ANY UNITS DURING THE PARADE. Any unit doing so will be immediately removed from the parade and not be allowed to participate in future events.

2. Walking participants escorting units may distribute items, hand-to-hand only, NO THROWING, and the $50 fee must be paid in advance – when registering.
